Third Grade Playground Design

Mrs. Jablonowski's third grade class was studying how to write persuasive papers. The entire class identified the need and choose to remodel the South Edgar Road playground.  Below are pictures from their ideas.  Just a few tweaks needed for safety!

We need more swings because you have to wait too long and it wastes our recess time– Henry

Monkey bars should be different heights for every one – Hayden

Some of the equipment is getting old and breaking down – Mariah

There is wasted space that could be used – Reid K.

A lot of people want to go on slides at the same time and you have to wait a while – Reid S.

Not everyone at the school can use the playground. It should be all ages and that everyone can use it. – Xavier

Slides need to be longer for older taller kids - Lyra

The wood chips should be replaced with softer ground because people are getting hurt – Nora M
