Right now, we are at an important and challenging crossroads. Like many school districts, we are experiencing rising costs and financial pressures that we can no longer absorb within our current budget. Simply put, we cannot continue operating as we are today without making significant changes.

Dragoni brings more than 15 years of experience leading and expanding innovative programs in gifted education, STEAM and the arts. He currently serves as a gifted education specialist and summer programs administrator in the Kirkwood School District
The district’s tax rate remains among the lowest in St. Louis County. District leaders noted that Webster Groves has worked hard to balance maintaining exceptional educational opportunities while keeping the tax burden on residents as low as possible

Sutherlin currently serves as the associate director of admission and upper school admission lead at Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (MICDS), where he has helped guide prospective students and families through the admissions process while also serving as an assistant coach for the boys varsity basketball team.
Dr. Cynthia Hebenstreit, who has been serving in a leadership role at Ambrose since December, will continue as interim director for the 2026–27 school year
